Food Accounts to up your Cooking Game

I don’t know about you, but the longer I continue to work from home the more frequent my snacking gets. Living in a small Boulder apartment the proximity from my desk to the pantry and fridge has been a blessing and a curse (hoping I’m not the only one). The one thing that has kept me from buying all of the chips in the snack aisle has been Instagram! Looking at beautiful photographs of delicious meals has continued to inspire me to shop the outskirts of the grocery store. So join me in saying goodbye to the Hint of Lime tortilla chips and hello to fresh meals made by none other than yourself. Below you will find foodie Instagram accounts to up your cooking game and inspire you to get creative in the kitchen:

Half Baked HarvestCooking just up the hill in the mountains of Colorado, Tieghan Gerard can be found taking childhood favorites like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Pop-Tarts and bringing her own homemade twist. Cooking from a renovated horse barn, she has us all beat on space in the kitchen.

Foraged Dish - Fair warning, we are biased because the owner and creator of Foraged Dish is former Room 214er, Caitlin Sherwood. Focused on using whole and fresh ingredients to fuel the body, we have all been jealous of the delicious meals she has brought for lunch and stared at the dough on her desk because it was the perfect bread rising environment.

Spoon Fork Bacon - Midwesterners turned LA foodies, Jenny and Teri combined their powers of cooking and photography to create a rockin’ Instagram. This combined online space is where Midwestern comfort food meets bright and beautiful ingredients. I’m personally volunteering to eat everything they make.

Joy the Baker - I’ve been self diagnosed with, not a sweet tooth, but sweet teeth. This means that I need to eat dessert to curb my ravenous cravings…trust me, it’s a thing. Joy the Baker not only has an aesthetically pleasing Instagram account, her large variety of baking recipes will have you craving things you didn’t even know you needed.

Vegetarian Ventures - Eating the daily recommended amount of veggies can feel like a chore. But Shelly Westerhausen, our favorite vegetarian cook, will give you delicious reasons to stop in the produce section. Your plate will burst with color and your body will thank you for it.

Salted Plains - Gluten-free always, vegan sometimes and absolutely delicious. Whether you are in need of gluten free recipes or just wanting to try something new, Tessa Fisher has all of the baked goods and delicious meals to keep you feeling great!
