Job Description

We are interested in candidates with a strong background in research, analysis and insight development for strategic marketing initiatives. The Market Research Analyst will learn, use and help evolve Room 214’s Coherence Method framework

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the research and customer interview process, ensuring client output is grounded in meaningful insights about the customer, brand, and market
  • Identifies and defines the objective of an assigned research project; determines the best methods to use to meet those objectives
  • Interview stakeholders, subject matter experts and customers using the Jobs to be Done framework 
  • Drafts questionnaires, polls, surveys, and other data collection resources
  • Researches, analyzes and compiles data - making recommendations and forecasting trends related to research findings
  • Collaborate on marketing strategy, content strategy, branding and messaging 
  • Build alignment with the client team by asking probing questions, proposing rational decisions, and building empathy for customers.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders on evolving and innovating our processes for continually delivering better work
  • Ensure studio understands how insights work and how they are used in the strategy process
  • Support sales efforts with background research 

 

Required Skill Set

  • Understand what good insights are, how to uncover them, and how to create alignment around them between the client and studio teams
  • Parse quantitative and qualitative data
  • Present research outcomes
  • Interview customers and client teams with empathy, and go off-script to get at the most meaningful ideas
  • Apply a broad knowledge of industries, generations, cultures, and trends in novel ways
  • Be curious about human behavior
  • Guide the team to develop strategies, tactics, and campaigns grounded in insights
  • Write well
  • A consistent, conscientious communicator 
  • Is focused; can turn off distractions and socializing, but still likes to have fun
  • Is comfortable working on their own

 

Required Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Research, Statistics, Math, or related field required; MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of related experience

Salary Range (commensurate with experience): $75,000 - 85,000
